Fried Curry Beef pies.
We like making these with beef and turkey, you can use literally any meat you want to make these beauties……or no meat at all. Stay tuned for Aloo Pie filling recipe.

Curry Beef Pie
Instructions
- Make your curry paste:
- 4 tablespoons Curry powder
- 1 tablespoon Geera powder
- 2 tablespoon Duck + Goat curry powder
- Mix the dry ingredients with 2 oz of water.
- Beef:
- Season ground beef with seasoning salt and green seasoning, Heat oil, fry your whole Geera seeds until lightly brown.
- Add onions, garlic, peppers and cook for 1 minute.
- After one minute add your curry paste that you made before hand and fry until cooked. please refer to video to see how curry looks when it is cooked, If your curry has not cooked well it will end up being grainy and not taste good.
- Once cooked add the seasoned meat to your curry paste mixture and mix well until you have broken down your ground beef and everything is coated in the curry paste. Add potatoes, peas + carrots and Shadow Bene and cook until vegetables are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- For your dough:
- Mix flour, salt, yeast and shortening until they resemble bread crumbs. Kneed lightly until it forms a soft pliable dough, then cover with damp cloth for about 30-45 minutes.
- Divide dough into balls approximately 30, they should be slightly bigger than a golf ball. Flatten into a circle by pressing with your thumbs outward, refer to video for instruction.
- once you have your circle then ass 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture on half of the disk then fold over to form a crescent, pinch with fingers then seal with fork.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown and serve with chutney.
