Ground Turkey Samosas
Instructions
- Filling
- Heat oil in pan, sauté onion, chives, shadow beni, garlic , ginger and pepper for 1 minute, make curry paste (a little more watery than usual), add to pot and cook for 2-3 mins then add seasoned meat (seasoned with green seasoning). Stir this mixture well, cover and cook for 5 mins. Add vegetables, add seasoning salt and cook until vegetables are tender. Add potatoes that were pre cooked and cook for about 10 mins.
- Flour paste - mix flour and water until you make a thick paste.
- Skins
- There are two ways to make skins.
- Option 1
- Take one dosti roti and cut the edges off to make into a rectangle, once you have that take the rectangle and cut it about 2 inches wide and slice along the length to make a long strip. Add filling to corner and fold over to make a small triangle, keep folding upwards, once you are almost finished with the skin add flour paste to bind the skin together making sure to seam and trim the ends.
- Option 2
- take the roti and cut like you were making a 4 slice pizza, once you have one triangle you take your flour paste and paste the flour past along the curved edge, fold ends into the center and make it into a rough ice-cream cone shaped pocket. Add filling, paste top flap and fold over completing the triangle.
- Heat your oil and fry until they are golden brown.
