  1. Sift Flour, add salt, sugar, yeast, baking powder and butter or cookeen/Crisco.
  2. add luke warm water a little at a time to make a soft pliable dough, kneed for about 10-15 minutes. Cover with damp cloth and leave to rest for about 45 mins to an hour.
  3. Cut dough into pieces, flatten with hand and roll each piece to your preferred size and thickness.
  4.  Fry in hot oil, turn once or twice and fry until golden brown or lighter if you want a softer bake, Drain on paper towel.
